The rotating threaded rod that adjusts the height of the three point arm on my Case 430 (no draftomatic)is stripped for most of its length. Anyone know a way to repair that?
Thanks, Lee

To up grade the lift arm a long ways, You need an adjuster from a racine eagle hitch tractor. The one off of a dc or sc may be just the right length. Mine came from a 400. I had to add threads to the rod and cut off the excess. The big tractor adjuster works much better, and most people won't know the difference because of Eagles on the castings.

The way I have repaired that problem a few times is to cut the bad threads off and weld a piece of 3/4" fine thread in it's place, and sometimes it maybe necessary to also weld a new nut to the top after cutting off and removing that portion also. With a little help with a lathe, if available, it can look and work very well. Hope this helps, Roger
