I have a customer who has 2290 that he says is burning around 5 to 6 gallon per hour. This running a round baler at the most. He says it will burn near that just doing loader work. I have the tractor here at the shop runs great no extra smoke and it dynos around 145 or so. He has changed air filters and all the usual things to start with. Im kind of stumped and was wondering if anyone else has seen this? I know there is something causing this but just not sure and i dont want to do a bunch of needless stuff just to try to find it. Thanks for any thoughts. Thad

I don't think that is too high but seems a bit high. I have a 2390 that burns 0.4 gal/acre pulling a 20' no-till drill. I average 15 ac/hr in the larger fields so that comes to 6 gal/hr exactly. Of course that is a good pull, granted it isn't near the capacity of the tractor. 145 horse is only 10 horse over stock... but it seems like Case tractors always dyno higher than rated horse.
