Dear merv In regards to your 500 flameau red case tractor they are not a speed boat in 4th gear full throtle my 54 500 case does about 23 miles per hour. but they are a real power house . I use my 500 case for tractor pulling only last week sunday we got first in the 8500 weight class and ran out of track. You have a very good tractor, Good Luck. if you are ever thinking of selling please E Mail me.

I like my 500 D. It's a '54. They are big heavy and tough. I use it to run my chopper, PTO genset, baler, and for field work. Not as nimble as my other tractors but a good old machine.

10.1 standard tires rated rpms underload 1350.
Yes they were an excellent tractor - never any better in my opinion as far a reliability.
52-53 to 56 were about the years it was built.
600 came out in 57 I believe.

Which 500 are you speaking of? The Desert Tan 500B or the Flambeau Red 500 diesel?
