I have a 734 with a broken PTO shaft. When attempting to remove the shaft, the fork that engages the clutch is in the way of the removal of the clutch/shaft. The hydraulic unit sits above the PTO. Do I need to remove the hydraulic unit in order to get the fork out of the way? Any details would be helpful. Thanks...

Yes, remove the hydraulic pump. You have already drained the fluid, and it is only four bolts. Once you have removed the pump you will be able to take out a bolt that holds the shifting fork onto the shaft. Remove this bolt then pull the shaft, this will require you to remove the pto linkage. the fork is keyed to the shaft so watch to make sure you don't lose them. The pto should be free and ready to pull after this. good luck

Been some time since I have had one out. Take the small cover off the top? and loosten the bolts in the fork, and remove the shaft that goes through the fork. Remove the fork, and remove the PTO. DK
