I bought a 1966 930 CK D with a badly homeade special rig for steering. I bought a steering sector from a 930 with no serial number to replace the rigged one. I got it home and I see that the steering column I bought is round and the one now on the tractor is square. Will these interchange? thanks.

I sounds like you bought a steering column from a 930 six speed, they are totally different from the eight speed, which is waht I think you have. The older 930's used a steering box with a "chicken roost" pole, yours has a shaft with U-joints going to the front. Right? If that is the case there is very little that will interchange.

Mine is a 930 ck 6 speed. Mine has had the pitman arm removed. rather than a rod from the pitman to the front tie rod, now mine has a cylinder from the old cylinder mount to the tie rod. It has had a "hand pump" (like on a IH, or a combine) mounted under the steering wheel and lines ran to the cylinder. It is a real RIG. The parts I found are very similar to what I think was on my tractor before but the steering column on my tractor is square and the one I got is round. It doesnt look like it will be easy to gut the steering linkage to put it back in my square one but I want to do that because my throttle linkage etc is in way better shape than in the round unit. advice?
