Weight of a SC?

Wondered what my SC will weigh once I get her rebuilt. I am wondering if my trailer will haul her. I don't have any problem with my WD45, but I suspect that the SC weighs quite a bit more. I will not load the rear tires.
My trailer is a home made three axle trailer using older traler house axles. I also haul a good sized load of logs on this trailer.

I meant to add that a WD 45 shows 4465 lbs. I do
remember that when my dad had the Allis line the
WD's or 45's came standard equip with fluid in the
tires for some years. I don't know then if this is
included in this weight. Chuck

Official guide shows 4550 lbs with eagle hitch,
narrow front.

I'm surprised. I would have sworn that the SC would be several hundred pounds more that the WD45. I shouldn't have any problems whatsoever at 4500 lbs.

Thanks,

As you probably know, the SC is a smaller tractor. The late model DC is closer in horsepower.

Yes Glenn,
I am aware that the SC is a smaller engine. What? About 170 CU? I haven't acquired a manual yet for it. I am also aware that the DC is closer in power to my WD45, but I can tell you by experience that the DC will outpull the WD45 on the farm because of the traction of the 38" wheels.

Back in the early 70's, I had a 40 acre farm in Michigan that was mostly sandy loam. I had a rock in one field that was just below the surface about an inch. Whenever I plowed that field I couldn't remember exactly where that rock was and I would break a plow point. Got tired of it so I dug around it and exposed it. Got a chain on it and with my 45 I was able to roll it to the surface. There was a small grade and I was able to pull it down to the bottom of that grade but once there I couldn't budge it. My 45 with loaded tires and double wheel weights would just sit and spin in the dirt and start to bury itself.

I let it sit there for 2 years and worked around it. Thought of blowing it up but had no experience with explosives. Finally, I borrowed a friends DC, hooked up to it pulled it to the fence row.

Don't get me wrong, I have had AC's for the last 50 years and they are my first love. (Sorry, guys)
But I learned that 28" tires just don't have the traction that bigger tires do.

I really am looking forward to getting this old SC perking again.
Dave

You're gonna like it. We had a WC for many years. There's no question as to the advantages of the 38" wheels. We've had CASE since 1946. I like all colors except, well, maybe not green.
