I've had some inquires on how the Case DC 4X4 Diesels are working out. We've had a couple in the fields all spring. One change is that we took the turbo off. It was overkill for the weight of the tractor and added about $1000 to the price. The naturally aspirated Mazda truck engine puts out about 70hp at 1800rpm. Nice strong engine. The full time 4X4 is a big plus in the rice fields. Most of the tractors are sold with dozer blades on the front and disc plows on the back. we're selling them for about $7500 complete. See photo.

Ted,
That conversion is simply a modern marvel! Are you still using just four speeds? Do you ever think you'll send some over here? Don

Don,

Yup, just 4 speeds, but we do have a good torque rise in that engine, so we use the old "Mack Truck" speil, when they sold their 5 speed tranny in their over-the-road tractors. "If you have enough torque you don't need gears". Not really true, but it sells tractors. Cambodians don't like to shift anyway, and by boosting the no-load rpm's to 1800 you get three field speeds. 1st gear was always kind of useless in the DC's anyway.

Looks that would fit just fine a shipping crate. I'll pick mine up at Houston. How much can you ship one of them...

I don't want to get the forum correction police after me, so understand, I'm not trying to sell these through the forum or in the US. (we can sell all we can build in Cambodia). Also, I don't know if I could sell 4 of them in the States, but if I could freight would cost about $1600 per tractor shipped to a port like LA or Huston. The plows run about $800 ea. and we've about got that in the dozer,so if the tractor came alone then it would come in around $7500-8000 depending on what customs does to me. These are completely remanufactured tractors. Every bearing, bushing, and worn gear has been replaced.

I think your prices sound good. I hate to think what I paid to rebuild my 300b and I am looking for a used tire for a 700b. 8000.00 for a New tractor is a good price.

With diesel 3.00 per gallon here I can not haul anything myself very far myself. So the price of 1600.00 does not sound out of line.

That being said I am tractor rich and cash poor, but I think you have a great idea and good product.

Lets stay in touch.

I'll talk to someone who may have a idea. Can you send my more spec's.

I sure would like to see one them in a tractor pull up against a stock DC... The old DC could handle a disk in 3 gear, I'll bet that 4x4 really gets with it.

PS are looking for some rice combines?
