Hi everyone!

I haven't been on since winter when I was rebuilding my engine. Though I haven't updated my site lately, the rebuild went great. Started on the first turn - complete rebuild. Power galore ($$$ galore too). I also rebuilt all the Backhoe cylinders - zero leaks.

Question - the hydraulics filter (located on the RHS by the loader valves - where can i get a replacement? The number on the one in there is 551517. Thanks.

Hi Jerry, I hate to change the subject but, I am looking at a 530 with a blown engine. It' s a gas 4 cylinder that has two holes in the block. I was wondering if you still had your original engine and if so, what you wanted for it? Email me with any details at [email protected] Excellent job on the web page! It helped me to understand what was involved with replacing a tractor engine. A lot more than I originally thought!

530 Engine in reply to mike severn, 07-24-2006 19:58:01
I do have the engine. It worked before I replaced it but was burning some oil, and since I just bought the tractor used, I wanted to start off on a healthy foot so I bought a replacement while I still used the tractor and rebuilt it.

I really don't have a need for it excpet that it would be great for spare parts throught he next 30 years. Not sure what I'd want for it. It's at my place in Canada on the Michigan border, so crossing the river into the USA is easy, but I'm not sure what shipping and packaging would cost you. The motor (packaged weighed about 500 lbs) so you might want to find a shipper in Sault Sainte Marie Michigan and inquire about price before going any further. I'd probably be happy with about $600 for the entire engine - as is. It doesn't have a flywheel or clutch on it. I could take a picture or two. It's not been opened either.
