D14 temp gage, rear rim, front engine seal

I recently bought a non running 1960 D14 with a stuck clutch. I rebuilt the carb, made sure it had spark, and got it running (pull started). The clutch is still stuck, but it was under its own power after sitting for three plus years. I dont have my repair manual, and have a couple quick questions.

The temperature gage is spent, and I was wondering what a new one should look like. The amp gage is black, so is the temp gage black as well?

Also, I have a rear rim that needs work, and the tire has fluid. How do you tell if the fluid is calcium chloride? I dont plan on putting the calcium back in, is there an inexpensive alternative?

Finally, the front engine oil seal leaks, what is the easiest method of changing this?

Thanks for all the help. The starter now works well, just need to unstick the clutch.

The original gauges had a white background. There are correct temp gauge reproductions on eBay. I have mostly restored by Dad's 1960 D-14 so feel free to ask and I will try to help. I need to put the correct gauge on mine as I put a Sun Mech gauge cause I had one and have not replaced it yet. Also, on the wheel loosening question. I used penetrating oil but broke 3 wrenches before applying a little heat with a Propane torch. They came right off with the heat (and a breaker bar w/cheater) Be vareful to only heat a little and not melt the tube.

Calcium chloride has a bit of a sweet taste. No reason to be scared of it- rims rust when people don"t fix the leak! Most overrated problem on this board. CaCL is the most bang for the buck---cheapest weight, most weight for the money-ie- pounds per gallon of fill- that"s why farmers used it for 60-70 years. Regarding the front seal leak- check back a few posts about replacing one on a WD-

Replace the calcium with "RimGuard". It is a non corrosive liquid ballast as heavy in volumne as calcium and is made from beet juice. Mr. Bob
