B 1948 Brakes

I have a 1948 B (#80511 i think) and working on replacing the brakes. I was able to get the old bands out by removing only one of the top pins. Do you need to remove both top pins in order to install the new bands.

I have to do this job this coming spring with my 42 B. Let me know how you made out with this job. I haven't got the time to get at it till march so any help figuring this job out the better.

Drill a hole where it should be to drive the pin out.

yes, remove both pins, blow out and wash out all mouse next and mud, the cleaner, the better. run a heavy bailing wire around the drum and use it to pull the new shoes in. with tire off the ground you can roll the tire and help roll it thru--- its snug.

How do you get the second pin out, On my B it has no hole to drive it out.
