I finally got the rings unstuck had to break the thin one in pieces to get it out but none the less they're out. Time to dress up the piston and get ready for new rings. I just don't remember rings being that stuck. I think its because it only had just over a thousand hours on it before someone didn't cover the exhaust, what a shame? Thanks again old, I just love this site for gleaning good info from experienced troops like yourself

Hey Old, I was looking through tractor pictures earlier today, and was that you that had the picture of what looked like some kind of skidster that had no compression in No. 3 and 4 cylinders? I couldn't make that thing out so well, but from one of the pictures it looked like it might've been in the Mustang family. In any event, sure looks handy if ever gets running. Them skidster type contraptions sure are handy. I had to tear up some concrete a month or so ago that also was poured over the septic tank. Instead of tearing up the loader on the Deere, and risking putting it through the septic tank, I rented a Mustang locally. But when went to pick it up, they had something called a mini-mite? tera-mite? or something like that was even handier. Had a loader sturdier than my Deere, much lighter than the Deere, about the size of the Mustang, except had a back hoe too. Great for dragging the concrete from over the septic tank without taking a stance on top of the tank. Next Christmas? One of them. That thing looks like you have oughta be perfectly handy, if you get it running.

Wasn't me. Only skid steer/bobcat I have ever worked on or played with was a bobcat 371 which has a single cylinder koler engine in it and is around 14HP

Ok now I know what your talking about. Its not a skid steer but a small articulated loader. It has a 4 cylinder continetial engine in it and works well till the tranny get warmed up. When it gets warmed up the tranny slips real bad and will not pull its self
