Thinking about an auxillary pump to operate a loader to the D17. Any ideas on size, type, or ?Thanks

i think the hyd pump on a 431 542 and 5542 cockshutt combine is simalar to the factory pump sold for a 417 allis loader i know because we have wrecked a couple

Front mount pump to provide independent hydraulics for a loader or other was a factory option. Not hard to duplicate if you can't find the original. mounts in front of the steering casting, driveshaft goes through the existing crank hole, coupler bolts to the front pulley.

Most front pumps for loaders where around 8-10 GPM. You don't want much more then that because the lift gets way to fast and can cause you to flip a tractor on its side fast. Found that out by almost doing so. GPM does not mean less lift just slower which believe me is nice at times and can/will save your life

If memory serves me correctly, the WD/WD45 pump put out about 7 gpm at the high pressure, D17 was about the same, maybe a bit more. Remember talking to a dealer many years ago who went to the "unveiling" of the D Series back in the day, and they literally boo"ed the factory reps when they announced the hydraulics. Dealers wanted an improvement.

I would go to a parts book for the number- and from there the dealer should be able to tell you specs. I believe they are Cessna pumps- may or may not be the same as on many Gleaner combines- F, F2, K, etc. Maybe the same as the PS pump on the Series III D17?
