Can anyone tell me what all starters will fit onto a "B" plus how many dollars is a good one worth.Red

Red, are you sure the one you have is bad? The starter is quite large for the small B engine. I've had people on C's call and say they needed a new starter. Went to look at it and cleaned the connections. Starter was fine. Connections are very important on these 6 volt systems. Also cables can look good and still be bad. Replacement cables are often too small for 6 volt. One gauge or bigger is mandatory.

Texas I am looking at this B. The present owner says he has changed it to 12 volt and he thinks the solenoid is bad. I am wondering if there is no ballast resistor and this might have affected the starter.Red
