WD45 pulling a 10' transport disc??

Hello All!
Is it possible for this tractor to do it with a disk w/conventional drawbar hitch?
(My understanding is that the WD45 has 37 drawbar HP.)
If so, what is the highest gear one can go??
Would like to also drag a single-set of 10ft harrow
behind it. Reason asking is I saw a nice looking JD
disk that would replace my beat up 7ft IH disk.
The old timers around here say no way-any input??

Your 45 should play with that disc! Provided it is weighted for field work, with fluid filled tires. I pull a 12ft Krause with 18" blades and two 7' sections of spike tooth harrow with my 45D in third gear, no problem. I do use duals in plowed ground. My question is , Why would you want to degrade your Allis by hooking it to anything painted green!!! Have a g'day. TED

Your Wd should pull that okay in 3rd gear unless the soil is really heavy and wet. That is really an easy load for the tractor.

Tom, we puled a 10 foot Allis drag type tandom disk with WC's in
2nd gear. When we put 4 1/8 cylinders in the WC's, we could
easily go in 3rd. We had a WD with 4 1/8 cylinders which
loafed in 3rd gear. A WD-45 has a little more power than the WD with 4 1/8 so I reckon it should be no problem. Don't see
a problem with the 10 foot harrow either as it should pull
easier than the tandom disk.
