I have a ac b. Shift lever spins. Pulled snap ring, washer, and lever and can't see what holds shifter from turning. it shifts gears ok. help what am I missing?

Cman today I found the fix. A great guy at the alli dealer. Replaced the worn washer below the snap ring and that did it. Thank D

Sounds good. Two questions, did you get the washer from an AC dealer, if so can you get two. I do not have an AC dealer even close to me on the coast of North Carolina, Jacksonville. DS, I asked the same question several weeks back and got three replies (I think)none of which was a definite answer. I have an AC-11 manual and a factory parts manual and cannot for the life of me find any kind of pin. My shift lever has three notches on the pivot ball, but no evidence of anything ever being in them.
I don't think these tractors came from the factory with the shift lever spinning around, but no one, so far, has told me what the fix is.

Don't it have a pin in the side that goes into a groove on the ball? You can get new pins from Norms'Toys
