I agree with JC. It doesn't have the gloss of clear coat finishes but it retains it's color for a long time. And I've never seen rust come through Rustoleum if it is on a clean surface.

Hi Bill;

I don;t know wher you live, but I great luck using farm and fleet paint (AC) persian orange. It is an oil based implement enamel, that holds up very well for years now. It is manufactured by valspar located in wheeling , I. if this matters to you.

If you are looking for something close to persian orange use Krylon 1820.

I like Rustoleum Paint and Their AC Orange is close but as it is an all around quality paint and if you are a stickler for acccuracy I would say no,but if you need a good paint that is close ,go for it. I assume you mean Rustoleums Farm Equipment Paint line which clearly states that it "Matchs Mfg.'s Paint" on the can. For a good durable paint for machines you use every day and are not subject to critical scrutiny You will be well satisfied with this paint.My opinion!
