I would like to to be reasonablly to make a 426 have as near as possible 470 cubic inch. I don't know if someone out there has heard of tis being done?

I have heard of some guys trying IH pistons and sleeves in these motors to take them to about 456 cubes..

Any assistance on this would be helpful... I would like to build a limited pro stock or pro farm that will be able to give those red, green, and blue tractors a little run for there money..

Bob, you also may want to try the tractor pulling section of this forum too. I'm thinking that forum will get hot and heavy over the winter months since corn and bean prices are up and when that happens then the big boys want to play it will get interesting with the big toys. I love it time for me to get out the pulling schedule and make plans, keep us posted.

426 AC's have been built clear up in to the 585-615 cube range.

The Domanns at Winchester,KS once pulled the Hurricane Allis Pro Stock at 585 cubes running a dry block. They now have a 40 Series Detroit in it.

Brian Shramek from Williamsburg,MO was NTPA champ this year in DSS running a 426 block taken up to around 470 cubes. It has 4 chargers.Alot of work was done to keep the block in one piece.
