Can the magneto be changed out. We can not find a replacement one any where. And no one seames to be able to fix this one. I have no idea what is involved with them except they are a pain. Thanks for any help.

Give this guy a try. His name is Jack 417-358-7863. He rebuilds mags. You can also send me an e-mail and tell me what mag you have. I have manuals for the 2 common mags used on your tractor and I'll be more then happy to send you the manual for it. You can also on some mags turn the mag into a distubutor just by doing a few simple things to it. You add a coil and wire the points up so they work like a distubutor does

AS Ken said try Mainely Magnetos {Belanger's Auto Electric}. They did one for me. Came back like new. They use all new parts ,they clean it, remagnetize it and paint it. Fast turn around time. You won't have to wait weeks to get it back.
Just search Mainely Magnetos on Google.
