Hey i just recently purchased an Allis 185 with a Year-A-Round cab and I am debating whether to take it off or work with what i have. The cab is in rough shape, the heater fan does not work and all of the insulation has been torn up. All of the glass is still there though. The surface of the cab is all rusty as well. What should i do? Throw some new panels in there and fix the heater or take it off?

the big question is what are you going to do with the tractor? If for short use time then like others have said Kits and parts are out there,BUT if for long hour heavy use then GET THE BEST SET OF HEARING PROTECTION you can buy because you will need it,because the trans and and all gears are in the cab with you.The DBs are unbeliveable in there.Plus you have to remove the cab to do any kind of service on them.

Replacement fans are available through several sources. Cab foam is available in bulk from tractor dealers, or google Fehr Cab Interiors for pre-cut replacement panels.

They are good cabs, you can get kits to redo the interior ;just takes time + money ;the ac can be redone too ,but I just do like before mentioned and take off the doors +windows in summer and use a fan ;sure is nice in the winter !

The cab on my 170 was like that. I ripped out all the loose torn lining and left it on. Even without a heater it keeps me dry and blocks the wind. Took the non working air off and removed the doors and open windows in summer. My opinion I am better of with it on than with it off.
