The post below about the speed of a C in high gear prompts this question. My C has 8.3x24 almost new rear tires. They came with the tractor. I would like a larger size if I can find some good used ones. It has a 5 ft. belly mower and will be used only for mowing. What size would you all recommend? Happy Holidays to all and thanks.

I have a pair IH A/B rims that someone did a clean job of widening and installed 13-24s on them. They cheat onto the AC C/B wheels fine, it's just that you're going down hill all the time.

Although tired treaded tires do not cut up the yard as much, if you have any contour to your ground they spin and side slip real easy. Those 13-24s are about only good to keep the rims out of the mud.

If you tend to have a soft yard new tires will make deeper tracks. I have half wore out 9/24's on my B that I mow with and I keep thinking I should grind half of that tread off. If you have grass with solid ground under it then new might be ok. 11 / 24's might be a bit fast over the ground. I have 12's on my one C but it is set up for pulling.

I have a Farmall Cub with 11.3 x 24 ag tires. I would like to have 8.3 x 24. Maybe we could trade

The tire size you have are fine or you could go to a 9.00x24

I have seen the 8.3s you have all the way up to 12.4 on them. My 2 Cs have the 11.2 on the back which I prefer because the 12.4s just seem to be to big. The wider the tire the taller the tire will be but wider also means less ruts if your in soft ground
