Anyone pulled a 1 bottom trip plow with their B? How did it work? I am looking for one that I could trade my 1 bottom mounted plow with all brackets and lift lever for. Thanks

Is it that you don't like the way the mounted plow works? I have two B's with both of them having plows. I can say that with a good point and fairly shined up it does a good job till it gets scoured up good then it really works good. I wouldn't give up my plow for a unit that you have to pull other than that it would give more options. It could be unmounted quickly. I have had my problems for sure with the plow but once I figured out my issues with it it works quite well. I do about 5 acers with it at my place and would like to get to a plow day with it and see just how it would do in a bigger field. I have used it for near 10 years with good results. If I could help you with any questions you have let me know.

Ed,I would like to have the pull/trip 1 bottom plow because that is what my grandpa had. I located and purchased back his '39 B after being out of the family for 33 years. The plow was no where to be found, but I did locate and buy the mounted plow that I want to trade.
Thanks for your reply.

Pulled 1-16 with my B, no problem. Most of doing a good job with a pull type plow is getting the draft set right so the plow runs straight and the drawbar/plow hitch the right height so the plow holds a steady depth. Good luck,
Paul
