wd 45 d17 crank interchangabilty

Is there a kit or anyway to convert a d17 crank over to a wd45. I have a wd45 with a bad crank. However I have a new d17 crank laying around. Has anyone ever heard of this or know if its possible.

Cal nailed it. The 17 has larger diameter main bearings that I suppose could be turned down,I vote for getting a new 45 crank. Kip

i think the mains are in different locations . could be wrong . cant remember as well . know theres a question of intercange ability

if i remember correctly d17 journals are larger, but it could be turned down. also i think the crank gear is different from early 17's (same as 45) and later ones. so i depends on which one you have
