Does anyone know what the shift lever pivot pin is made from? Mine seems to be made from something nonmagnetic. I can't remove the broken piece with a magnet. I figured it would be cold roll.

Steel. Probably "mushroomed" on the edge that was in contact with the shifter. You can pull the shifter out, then hit it with a little punch. The slot on the shifter goes from top to bottom, so you should be able to pull the shifter out.
