Anyone know the factory original rim size (fronts) for this tractor? Ours has a set of welded rims and "balloon type" loader tires mounted and I'd like to get the original tire and rim sizes on it. Rears are factory original size, so no change needed there.

Thanks for the assist and happy Thanksgiving to all.

Tire size should be a 6.00X16 but the 6.50 and 7.00 and 7.50 will all work just fine and look ok. Rim for the 6.00 is a 4 or 4.5 and the lager ones a 5 or 5.5 X16. A lot depends on what your going to do as to which tire/rim will work best. If you use a loader or other front mount stuff the wide tires work better

Sorry I gave you the tire size.
Rims were 4.0x16.
There is also a heavy duty one if you have a large snow plow on your forks or loader.

Thanks for the quick reply--I forgot to ask about the number of lugs--ours has 5. Would that be the original hubs? I've seen some D17's with 6 lugs.

Today's Featured Article - An Old-Time Tractor Demonstration - by Kim Pratt. Sam was born in rural Kansas in 1926. His dad was a hard-working farmer and the children worked hard everyday to help ends meet. In the rural area he grew up in, the highlight of the week was Saturday when many people took a break from their work to go to town. It was on one such Saturday in the early 1940's when Sam was 16 years old that he ended up in Dennison, Kansas to watch a demonstration of a new tractor being put on by a local dealer. It was an Allis-Chalmers tractor dealership, ... [Read Article]
