I'm about to put a little diesel together after removing the stuck piston from the cylinder but I can't get the two upper rings unstuck from the piston they are chrome and I'ved soaked them in cabuerator cleaner and even put them in the backyard grile for a couple hours. All the parts look like knew it only has 1100hrs on it. Any suggestions?

if u can find some crude oil, its the knocker loose in the world..

Take a can just big enough for the piston to sit in. Then put it in and cover with tranny fluid. Let it sit a few days, then set that can on a stove and heat it up just till it starts to smoke and remove it from the heat. Let it cool down and they should come loose if they are going to that is. Carb cleaner didn't work because its a cleaner not a lube and you need some sort of lube that will eat the rust and that in turn will loosen them up. BTDT and have had very good luck doing that
