I have a chance to get a model CA and equipment from thje original owner, that has not been run in several years, it has been under a shed with a tarp over it. Is this a reliable, model and are parts readily available. I have a 1943 John Deere model B and a 1952 Case model VAS that i have redone. Thanks for the information.

It is a very nice tractor. It is similiar to a C but has an additional forward gear, a hydraulic lift with a draft control and a second clutch (hand operated) which allows you to stop the tractor and continue running the PTO. Most parts are readily available. The hand clutch can be a maintenance problem, because water and dirt can easily get into the housing. If it has been covered, that should not be a problem.

I have a B- and a CA. The CA is a lot more tractor than a B. 1. it has more HP. 2. The final drives are tilted back so it isn"t as light in the front. 3. better brakes. 4. one more gear. 5. better seat. 6 better seat. 7. better seat. I may have forgotten to mention the CA has a better seat also later, Nat
