Has anybody ever tried his or even given any thought to it. I like the power of the wd but prefer the ca controls and setup. Just curious, probly not gonna start tearing either one apart anytime soon. Mike

When the D14 came out, about 1957, it was touted as about the same hp as the WD45, but weighed less, and had smaller (26 inch) tires. Not good for a field tractor. If you could stick that in it would be simpler than using the 226, with it's inherent need for a frame to hold it. KISS formula-lol

They did make several experimental C/B's with WC engines in them. There are pics in Norm Swinfields A/C book.

I have faith in you if you really put your mind to it.
I have seen a V-10 Viper engine in a PT Cruiser.
Anything is possible.

About any thing can be done with enough money and adapter plates. The blocks are different shape and widths where they bolt to the bell housing. I have a WC block and a feller stopped in one day and swore that he had a WC engine in a C. Said it bolts right in. When he left I set the block on end and set a C torque tube on the block and there was no way without major redesign and machining.

Try to wake up JMS/.MN. He might have an idea. old might know. I'll ask my old retired AC Supermechanic when I see him but he's hunting out in Montana right now.

Thinking about it again, I think you'd be better off looking at a D14 or D15 engine. They had a torque tube design similar to the C and CA. WD/WD45 used a full frame design with the engine bolted into the frame.

The D-14 / D-15 will bolt right up. You have to use the CA flywheel.
