Steve and anyone else that can help: I had problems with spark plugs on my WD45 this morning. It had some kind of AC44r and I can't remember the exact number, but had the long, extended reach for the tall heads. What Autolight plug do you reccomend for a WD45 with that tall head?

Dave,
Sorry, I'm not here as much as the other board and missed your question, but any plug with an "R" at the end is a resistor plug. Most 45's are Distributor fired, but some do have Mags to. If the machine is Mag fired, it's not likin' those resistor plugs, and that could have fouled them. They won't affect a Distributor Ignition much, but it's always better to run a non-resistor plug in a tractor engine. As for the plug type, there is a 3/4 reach plug available, but not sure of the number off hand. I don't have ma' book in front of me...

Long reach plugs would not be correct for a WD45 if it still has its original cylinder head.

Dave, I think the standard plug is the Autolite 303, if you have fouling problems go to the the 295. They both work great for me. Sorry I'm not Steve, but I'm not sure he hangs out here as much as the other board.
