I have a d17 checked pressure on hydraulic system at remote had 1800# should have atleast 3200#.My i&t book said rebuild unloading valve so I did along with most of the pump still 1800# bypassed spool valve got 2500#with it leaking Was told there is a unloading valve in spool vale that is bad .Anybody know anything about this.Thanks

i dont know much about the 15 or 17, but have a IT manual AC201. on page 71 it says the unloder valve needs rebuilt or shims added under the spring. it shows a cross section of the valve. shows teh three plunger that are run by the cams, perpendicualer to the plungers, right next to them is teh unloader valve. has a long spring on the one end with a rod thru it attached to the plunger on the other end. full length of the valve body. the controls and check balls for the three plungers are shown below the unloader spool and point at each each plunger

I have a D-17 and don't know what the relief valve is set at or at what pressure it is controlled. I've had to rebuild the cylinder so do have a bit of experience. The hydraulics work fine on mine and have always lifted anything I asked it to including a very heavy 4-16 AC snap coupler plow - did that with ease. Why do you want 3200 psi? Are you trying to do something that you can't do?

I can't answer your question but I posted a question about D-15 hydraulics twice recently and did not receive an answer either time. Maybe you will have better luck.
