Hello out there in AC tractor land. I've started looking to purchase an A-C 160. Something that is in good shape. Prefer something in the Pa., Md.,Va.,De., area. Thanks TBG

There"s one for sale on EBAY right now in WV. Doesn"t look like a bad prospect. I emailed you a while back to get your email addy so I could send you a few pick of mine. Tried, but couldn"t send a pic through the ytmag site to you. Did you not get the email, or decide to go another way? I don"t really care one way or the other about selling it, but i would like to know if I was doing the email thing right!

My 160 is in OK shape, but not really great shape. It"s located in MD. I absolutely love it, but as others have mentioned, parts are not the easiest to find. I have three tractors, and it"s the one I try to match to the task first. The only reason I"d get rid of it - to limit future problems that might be real hard to fix. If you"re interested, get in touch and we"ll talk about it. I"m thinking $4200.

Thanks for the comments. I have a D-10 now and want something else equally as rare.

Good tractor. Parts for motor are available but for the rest of the tractor they can be a problem. Also your responses from a post on this board will be very limited. Apparently they are not popular, especially when compared to other AC tractors.

The people who have 160 tractors really like them but when you have to get parts, look out. They were made in France and imported and some parts are made out of unabtainable.

Yes, I think they used a 3 cylinder Perkins. As I remember it was a very handy tractor. Had no problems with cold weather starting.
