When I bought this place, I inherited a model CA. It's showing its age, but then again, I want a working tractor.

the hydralics package acts like it's low on fluid. Moving the lever has little effect and the slaves can be moved by hand. There is a lot of old, dirty oil on and around the pump. I can't find any port to add fluid. Unfortunately the tractor didn't come with an owner's manual so I've been doing a lot of guessing to get this tractor running in the first place.

Can anyone please give me an idea where to add hydralic fluid?

You have some good advise already, I will add a little though. Get both an owners manual and most importantly a repair manual. If the transmission/hydraulic oil you drained out was dirty or had water in it it might be good to drain out the new oil you put in again after a few hours of use, just to flush it out a bit. Also change the oil in the final drives. You have to remove the pan to drain it, then fill to the plug. Well worth doing many haven't been done---ever! And it is like black mud. And as f was mentioned, water can get into the trans down the shift lever if the boot isn't in perfect condition. Boots are available from AGCO, or others. A CA is a fine tractor, small and handy, powerfull, and 4 speeds. Take care of it and enjoy it!!

also, its probably full of water that ran down the rubber boot on the shift lever. there are three 1/2 inch pipe plugs under the trans, differential and pto housing. refill with 8 quarts of universal tractor hyd fluid thru the plug by left foot.

when you sit on the tractor seat there is a dipstick under your left foot...right in front of the platform.
