Need to replace the fuel filter and the number is worn off. I have been unable to find a replacement number. This is the filter that goes on the bottom of the pump

Good morning John,

Assuming this is a diesel, the AGCO part number is 74028945.

It wouldn't be a diesel if it has the filter on the fuel pump. Diesels don't have a fuel pump, an injector pump and a seperate spin on filter.

Hi Joe,

How thoughtless of me, I don't remember the gas tractor having anything but a sediment bowl for a filter, but I could be wrong, it's been about thirty years. I'll check tomorrow!

The diesel has a hand primer pump mounted on the same bracket as the fuel filter. I assumed that was the pump he was talking about. But you know what they say about assuming things, sorry!

BTW, what part# do you think he needs?

I didn't mean to imply anything. I did not consider the hand pump since the diesels do not use an inline filter. I did not know what the gas ones use.
