D19 orginal restoration questions

I have a D19 gas with a true original factory 3 point hitch and wide from end. It has 7.50 x 16 tires on the front and 18.4 x 34's on the back. I want to change the back to 15.5 x 38 or 14.9 x 38 to narrow the tractor enough to fit on my trailer. I have the 38 inch castings and rims. What front and rear tire sizes did D19's come with from the factory? I also have a spare D19 narrow front end. Is their a piece of sheet metal that fits over the narrow front end like the D17 has?

My owner's manual says standard fronts were 6.50x16, and rears were either 18.4x34 or 15.5x38. So somebody must have put the 16.8'x38's on mine before I bought it. It was 10 years old when I bought it, so I guess someone could have replaced the originals by then. By now they're badly weatherchecked. I've been keeping my eyes open for another pair.

And the 16.8's do fit under the fenders OK. I have the wheels set for 30 inch rows. Never bothered measuring in inches.

My D19 has 16.9x38's on the rear, and the dealer I bought it from said he ordered all D19's that way. I have 6.50x16 ribbed implement tires on the front so I don't tear up the grass so much while turning with a shredder on it.

I'll be down to my shop in a bit, so I'll check the manual and see what options there were.

My book says they were offered in 18.4 and 15.5. In another place, it says high clearance came with 15.5. I'm not sure if the 15.5 was an option on the standard version.

You should check your rim width and add this number to 60". That will be the narrowest the tractor can be. With 18.5 tires, the width would be about 80.5 and with 15.5 tires about 77.5. My trailer is 76 so it would be a squeeze to get it on even with 15.5 tires. Might be cheaper to buy a wider trailer.

don't know about a D19 but my 190XT manual says that the 190XT had 4 options for the front and the rear tires and wheels...it was up to the owner.
