HP of Mod C and Price

I have found a model C allis Chalmers that is for sale. IT has fair Rubber and looks good in the pictures. What was the HP of these tractors ?
The price is $1000. I will be checking it out on saturday. The owner says it runs like a sewing machine and has the original belly mower. Is it camparable to a C Farmall in size? thanks

I have both the Farmall and the Allis Chalmers C's. I have a mower under a B Allis and the C and B are about the same height. The Farmall C is higher and if you have trees to go under it could be a problem. If you were to fit ground the Farmall C with the taller tires will have less slip.

I have 3 AC C,s and I just bought a Farmall Super C. Theres not to much diffrence. the farmall has better hydralics and bigger back tires and a four speed trans. That sounds like a good deal for $1000

As per the NEB. test an Allis C is 23HP and a farmal C is 21HP. Both have there good points and there bad points. I know I wouldn't tkae less then $2000 for my C but it also has 3 point and a frount lift on it for a snow plow

From reading "tractor data.com" I observed that the AC "C" has a little more pto. hp than the Farmall "C", but their weight and hp are in the same "ball park"

The C stats I found list the hp at 18.4 Max at the drawbar.
I recently bought a 41 C with cultivators and sickle mower for about the same price. It too runs great. I can't say how similar it is to the Farmall.
