My governor weights broke upart on my D-17 series III with power steering. I need to replace the bearing that pushes up against the weights. I think it would be called a thrust bearing. I have not found anyone that has the bearing. Any ideas?

Bob mentions going to a local "bearings and drives" supply house. Aound here they have names like Minnesota Bearing or Interstate Bearing. If you take in the old thrust bearing, they might be able to match it to a Fafnir or INA bewaring from their catalogs. Good Luck!

Try Sandy Lake Implement. 724.376.2489 Brenda in Parts is very helpful. They seem to have all the parts for the older AC tractors.

Sandy Lake Implement says they no longer make the part. They have none.

I think governor parts for a W engine are available form AGCO. Have you checked with you local dealer? I have bought parts for my WD, which is about the same in that area as WD, WD45, D-17, andothers.

The AGCO dealer told me they are no longer available. I found a few places where I could get used but thought maybe someone other than AGCO may produce the part.

It's been a WHILE since I've been in one of those... do they use a simple ball thrust bearing? If so, ANY industrial "bearings and drives" sort of place should be able to supply them, by dimension.
