I'm in the final stages of assembling my 1953 B with hydraulics. Painting will be next. Bought it about a year ago and it needed alot of TLC. It has the standard single 3/4 inch hydraulic cylinder under the seat area attached to a rockshaft. How much pressure will the pump put out if working normally and how many pounds will the cylinder lift if equipment is attached to the rockshaft. Would like to make any changes to the system if needed prior to painting. This will be a working tractor on about 20 acres and half being wooded. Thanks, Nick

Hi Nick,

The normal maximum working pressure of a B pump in good condition is 3200 psig. For a single acting cylinder with 3/4" dia rod, the resulting push force would be about 1400 pounds. What that will lift is dependent on the linkage configuration between the cylinder and the part being lifted.
