WD45 Cracked Block Pic

I posted earlier about this and this should show what I am trying to fix. Pic is a little dark but you can see the weld someone has put on the block. It extends from the front where you can see it well to the back above the air cleaner to carb hose if you look closely. I'm wondering about a good fix. It is cracked right next to the weld because it looks to me like someone just welded a bead on it and didn't peen it or preheat it.

my wd hashas a pach that is screw in to the block looks like a very old repair and it dos'nt leak i heard this is typical on these i have a parts tractor with the same patch

A crack like that on one I get in means its either another engine or a parts tractor to me. I'll not mess with one like that or pawn it off on some one else. Not saying it can't be fixed but to me it would cost way to much and always be iffy. That said I have a good block on hand if you find you need one. E-mail is open
