I am looking at an older D17 without power steering. It is in decent shape, with a rebuilt engine, but needs much detail work. I can handle most of the little stuff, but would like power steering on it. Anyone know if it will be possible to retrofit power steering onto the earlier D17's, and if poosible, what parts will I need, and how expensive can I expect in general?

Might be able to find the components in a salvage yard. Another option is to use a hydrostatic steering system from a combine, and mount the steering cylinder on the front axle. Would also need an engine driven hydraulic pump for constant oil supply.
