I've decided to take apart alot more of my tractor that I had first planed...huh your wives havn't heard that before...It's only, I don't know what else to do except take the whole thing apart,paint it,then try to remember where it goes again.And when you are waiting for parts it seems the only right thing to do is take more parts off..Right.I wonder what kind of primer I should use with my enamel top coat,I'm taking the whole thing down to bare metal.But now the real question,Why am I doing all of this,I already could never get what I've put in it.Good clean fun

Well tom I guess you haven't met them all I guess. I have one that would be helping me repair it right there on the floor. She isn't worried about the carpet just worried if we will have it done by the show. She will plan here vacation out for plow days and shows. I guess I ought to keep her if for nothing other than that alone. Keep looking for a good one there out there.

That forgeting where the parts go thing sounds like an excuse to go to a few tractor shows to see if you can figur out where they go

My answer: Don't get married. Right now I have my Allis's engine in the middle of the living room floor. It's a nice comfortable place to work. The rest of the tractor's right out the front door, or in the kitchen. No spouse I know would put up with me, uh, my projects :)

That is the way to do it for a show tractor. If it is a sale tractor don't do it as you never get your money out, Just tell the prospective buyer how nice it could be.
