My 49 Mod C won't start. It's been running fine up until 2 weeks ago.
The plugs, wires cap, rotor and points look good, (they're clean and gapped correctly and the points aren't pitted).
I can smell fuel after I've leaned on the starter for several minutes and cannot detect a spark from the plugs when I hold one against the block and hit the starter.
Could it be the magneto? Is there an easy test to determine whether the magneto is creating a spark or not.
Thanks for any help!

I had my mag off one day, and found out by accident, that if you turn the shaft and put your finger in the wrong place, it will shock you! I would imagine you could replace your finger with a test light or a voltage meter as a safer test!
