CA water pump

The water pump on my CA is leaking. Do I have to replace it, or can I replace seals or gaskets? I haven't quite pin-pointed where the water is coming from. It leaks out a little bit when the tractor isn't even running. By the way, for those of you discussing CA's, mine has the axle clutch welded together, my hydraulics don't work, and it does slip out of 2nd gear sometimes, going up a hill. But seriously, do I have to replace the water pump, or just gaskets/seals?

I wouldn"t advise getting a water pump kit due to the machine work involved in repairing the casting to make the seal work correctly. If you need more info on rebuilding or replacing your pump feel free to email me. I have them in stock.

I checked this site and they only offer the rebuilt pump for $125. I've never had a problem with the three that I have had so I'm not sure. I'd call AGCO Allis and check with them. I've gotten the kit from them for a WD and a D-17 Diesel.

Also (and probably a lot cheaper), I've gotten parts for water pumps from "Rusty Acre". Don Livingston once provided me a bunch of parts (not a kit) that he had which he said I could machine to work on an Oliver 70 - AND he was right! Try him via internet at "[email protected]" or call at 507-433-0073.
