Hello, I recently posted about trouble with a Mag on my WD45. Turns out it was a FB J4B, and I fixed it! Thanks again to everyone!Anyway, it was an intermittent problem, so I did anticipate another failure as I wasn"t sure if what I did to get"er to go was substantial enough to be forever "fixed". So, today, I fired her up,..... away she went, so nice to have her back in service! I simply backed her out and was intending to use her in about an hour or so. I went back, started up and then she died! POOP! So, I went to work to remove the mag, thinking it was my "intermitant" problem back to haunt me. LONG story short; Looked as if it wasn"t timed correctly within the mag, so I tried to index the mag while on the tractor, then took the mag into the shop, spun it in the vice..... ..wha la SPARK..... .what the heck? Spent the next hour or so trying to time the engine at TDC. Wife helping me as I rotated the engine with a bar through the LOWER flywheel cover. I DID find the timing mark, I thought as it was the only HOLE on the outside of the wheel. Crankity, crankity..... ..etc!!! Little did I know, the access cover that was refered to in the manual, was on TOP of the bellhousing!! SO, I then had "Ma" with finger in #1 sparkplug hole, found TDC. Reset internal timing on mag,..... .mounted mag..... ...OH, and PUT GAS IN TANK AS I WAS OUT!!!!! That was the ONLY thing wrong..... ...fired right up! Went to work, and got things done. I feel SO stupid, as if I JUST checked the gas when it wouldn"t start..... BUT I did learn a TON! Pete
