Allis WD 1949 Right Rear Brake not working.

I have an issue with the right rear brake now engaging. You push the brake and the only tension you feel is the return spring. How much truble is it to check the brakes and where do i start. Just bought this tractor and not quit all famillur with it let. Thanks Jerry

Too bad it's not the left one- easier to get at. Like the myer post, there is a cover on the right side, top of the differential, but when you remove that casting, the seat will tip back to gain access. Need a 3/4 inch wrench to tighten up the brake band. Check lining thickness- need clearance to the rivets, or if it's bonded, make sure there is some lining left. Adjust both brakes so the pedal travel is equal, and the lock latch still catches the pedals. Those brakes do not lock together for road travel, so the pedal travel should be equal to avoid side drift.

on top of the axle, theres a cover. remove an inspect the brakes..
