I posted a couple weeks back about a Wd. The one owner tractor that hasent ran in 12 years He was asking $1500. I looked at it again and it turns over and he sad he would take $1350 with out wheel weights or a tool box. He said thats the least he would take. Does that sound Good or not let me know.

That price is way too high. 400 or 500 at most if it has decent sheet metal. Running WD"s are worth about a thousand. If they haven"t been run for years you have to start your offers at junk value. If an engine needs alot of help to get it running you will spend alot on the engine before you paint the tractor. The only exception is if it is a wide front WD then it is worth a coulpe hundred more than narrow fronts. I have realized that if you shop around and have patience, a cheaper one will come around, it always happens that way. That is why I have 20 tractors and haven"t paid more than 1000 for any one of them.

A quick Ebay search turns up 2 in Ohio that are at $450 and $500 right now. One listed in the photo ads on here in MD for $1200. It shouldn`t be very hard to find a good runner for your amount of money.

Yeah, that's pretty high. I know that my tractor was running and I sunk easily $300 worth of parts into her to get her up to speed... And I think it needs another $200 or so worth of stuff done to it. And that doesn't include the new back tire I had to buy.

Shoot for the price I'll sell you the one I have it a plow would come with it. Last 2 WDs I picked up non running cost me $250 for one of them and $150 for the other. Granted I know have about 40 hours work in the one I have I would sell. What I did was take the 2 and make one good one out of them. Common price in my area for a good running WD is $1000-2000 depending on how good it looks and runs nd if the tires are good. So that price on that one is way out of the ball park. Ya it might be a simple fix but it could also be a big money pit since you have no idea how good or bad the engine is

I paid 500 for mine seized and had it running the next day, all the tin was straight and its restored now..so I"d say that price is way to high..you can see mine in the photo area

Dustin, good running WD's usually bring around $1000 on Ebay. But, of course, you might have to travel to pick it up. If they aren't running, price is usually about $500-600 if the tires are good. Poor tires might drive that down to $300-400. I think your acquaintance will own his WD for awhile. I've never paid more than $500 for a non-running tractor and that includes John Deere which usually brings more than Allis.
