If you have converted your tractor to 12 volt ignition, most any electric tach will work that has setting for the number of cylinders (most do). If you are on 6 volt, you will need a D-14 distributor, cable and tach. Its probably simpler to go to 12 volt, negative ground.

It will work. We used the governor shaft and gear from a D-15 in a CA housing without the drive casting. The only difference was the end of the shaft that drives the cable. You will just have to get the complete assembly.
