Cracked block

I have a B,not sure the year,right in front of the shifter it just says "TRACTOR NO"No stamp or anything to indicate the year.That being said,I took my head off, baught new valves,spent $350 on machien work.Now I cleaned off my old head gasket and found my block has 2 cracks in between the middle pistons.The thinest part.What do I do now?Can that place be welded?Where would I find a new block?Any help would be appreciated.Troy in Wa.

those cracks are fine, my C has the same cracks and it ran just fine before i started to restore it.

Very common to have cracks there. Out of say 100 engine blocks like yours maybe 25 will not have those cracks. Its a known weak spot on them and theres 1000s of them out there running just fine with them. I hope you also at least replaced the rings etc. when you did the head, the reason is if you didn't you will be in the future or most likely will be. Most of the time if you work on the head and not the rings etc you will end up blowing the rings out of the engine because of the increase in compression made by the valve job. BTDT and found out the hard way decades ago so now its do nothing or do it all

Cracks there should not be much of an issue. Seal her up and go on.

Take that tractor number by the shifter and look up the year on this site. Look at the left hand side and scroll until you find research and Info->serial numbers.

If it is between two sleeves just ignore it. The head seals to the top of the sleeve. The only way you would find a block that doesnt have them is to have a new one cast fresh.
