I have two model B"s, one is a crank start, good engine and one is a electric start bad engine. Will the engine out of the crank start fit in the electric start if I change the flywheel?
Thanks for the input.

Look on the LH bell housing flange for the engine code, if it is BE its 116 and CE 125ci. The key is to swap flywheeel if the hand crank doen't laready have toothed ring gear, and check out the generator mounting situation. Oh, and if yo're in lower MI, I'll take the bad engine off your hands...

the engine will bolt right up after you change the flywheel. However the crank engine may not have the mounts for the generator. this could be a problem. you could drill holes and rig your own mounts. crank start engine is probably a be engine (116 cu in) and the electric start engine a ce (125 cu in). Thanks for the reply, this is just a ride around tractor, so the extra inches wont be a problem.
Thanks
