Who out there can tell me what HP the D 21 is actually...I was maybe 13-14 when they came on the scene and remember seeing the first one at a plowing match,and if I remember correctly I think they were advertised @ 120 HP.AC rated their tractors conservatively I know...I think I saw an article in here that said they were 156 HP.....but don't think that was the case.
Also; were they popular and good workhorses...don't remember any in my area.Help me boys!!

The early D-21's, 1963 to early 1965, were rated at 103 horsepower. In 1965, to out shine their new 190XT, Allis put a turbo on the 21 and got 127 horsepower. They were a heavy built tractor, but as with all Allis tractors, still had a high horsepower to weight ratio. They were very successful in tractor pulls. The few 21's around here were tough tractors. Many are still on the go today.

i am looking for a junk d21 basically just the frame and sheet metal where do i look, my day built a super farm 21 and i want to build a farm stocker to pull with
