The G I have had sat for 5 years in a barn.Got it running and the generator squeaks like a dry bearing.Took the cap off one end and noticed a little oil reservoir.Do ya think filling with oil will save her?Thanks much

The squeaking noise is probably caused by the built up film of condensation and dust on the commutator that the brushes ride on. It may go away after it runs a little while..
