I can not locate a manifold (IN-EX combined) for my 49 WF. Will a WC or any other 4 cyl Manifold fit a WF Block. Minor Carb and Exhaust mods OK. Thanks

I agree with other post - WC, WD should be same - but - there were several variations over years - 49 would most likely be gas not distillate and match very late WC or early WD with vertical not slanted out pipe (which is good as the slanted ones for distillate are more expensive) - still you could have a distillate setup - so best to check - engine s/n will end in K - but you should be able to use gas parts interchangeably unless you are still trying to run distillate. Your motor s/n s/b roughly in range of W200001 to W240001.

Original WC/WF used p/n 212285 for gas or distillate;

then gas changed from engine W106509-W263950 to p/n 212283 - this was probably original for a 49 WF gas;

then gas from W263951 thru WD"s used 224782

WD distillate used 229940

WD45 gas used 226350

Looks like all used same attachment geometry to head, issues appear primarily attachment to and exit of exhaust pipe / muffler - and earlier manifolds have different over/under setup but it does not affect interchange. There should be several parts sources on this site that can provide what you need.
